The Travel Mapping project (http://travelmapping,net) uses data derived from OSM and other sources to allow travel enthusiasts to track their cumulative travels on major highways. The Map-Based Educational Tools for Algorithm Learning (METAL, http://courses.teresco.org/metal) project uses this data for educational purposes, including an extensive interactive algorithm visualization system. This session will demonstrate both sides of this project.
